It is so beyond hard to watch Christians be judgmental… I understand the need to be discerning but sometimes, ah, just get over yourself, be selfless and just love as Christ loved which was unconditionally. I realize that I’m totally biased as a result of my stupid love for mercy but that shouldn’t matter. If Jesus said, “love God and love people” then I think that we should actually love God and love people. Call me crazy (right?) but I know that although loving people isn’t easy, it’s our call and I also know that loving people with a reputation is less than easy and sometimes we get worried that their bad rep is going to rub off on us but Jesus didn’t care. Jesus let people think He was a drunkard because He hung out with drunkards so much. I don’t care what people think of me. I care what God thinks of me. If hanging out with scandy people, people who have a past and screw up will show them His love and help them see Him than I will do it. If other Christians judge me… That’s on them. I’m not brought down by lost people or by Christians who are struggling with their walk because I know who I am in Christ and I am secure. Ahhh I’m so freaking tired and I know that this is less than coherent but I needed to just type this out. We live in the last days not the last day; we will all only be judged ONCE for what we do here on earth on ONE day and we will all be judged by ONE person and that is GOD. We shouldn’t be judging now because it’s the last days not the last day and we shouldn’t judge EVER because, well, YOU ARE NOT GOD. End rant. Begin 5 page paper due tomorrow morning in my PSYC 300 course. Why I’m taking a junior level course as a should be high school freshman also baffles me so I’m going to go pray over this paper and over these people and then maybe I’ll post a far more redemptive blog that’s more my usual attitude of “everyone’s awesome”. EVERYONE IS AWESOME, EVEN PEOPLE WHO HAVE PASTS AND EVEN YOU WHO ARE JUDGMENTAL OF THOSE WITH PASTS. So why can’t we all just get along? We have the Holy Spirit in us… This is dumb. There shouldn’t be awkwardness. We should all just getttt alonggg and be the bodyyyyyy. Gah.
